Minitex staff work to fulfill our mission to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of participating libraries. More information about our internal organizational units is included below.

  • Administrative Financial Support (AFS)
    Provides administrative support to Minitex staff in the areas of human resources, financial services, staff payroll, benefits, and sponsored projects, while providing excellent customer service to affiliated libraries in regards to fiscal services as needed on a timely basis.
  • Bibliographic & Technical Services (BATS)
    Provides services and resources pertaining to cataloging, digitization and metadata, and OCLC products and services.
  • Contract Cataloging
    Provides supplementary cataloging services and expertise.
  • Cooperative Purchasing & Electronic Resources Services (CPERS)
    Library products and electronic resources available at Minitex pricing.
  • Delivery
    Provides delivery of resource materials to libraries throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
  • Information Technology (IT)
    Provides innovative, proactive, and collaborative solutions that achieve the organization's goals while actively exploring emergent technologies in anticipation of future needs.
  • Minnesota Library Access Center (MLAC)
    A high-density storage facility for important but lesser used items from libraries throughout Minnesota.
  • Reference Outreach & Instruction
    Provides state-wide reference referral; instruction on Electronic Library for Minnesota resources, Minnesota Opportunities for Reference Excellence, and reference-related topics; and a monthly newsletter called Reference Notes.
  • Resource Sharing
    Provides returnable and non-returnable materials to fill interlibrary loan requests from Minitex participating libraries as well as lending for the University of Minnesota.
  • Support Staff Services
    Enhances our staff's effective and efficient service to libraries participating in Minitex by providing services to Minitex staff, and to the staff of each participating library.
