Emerald offers the following online collections:

  • Emerald Management Plus: Emerald's flagship product, with access to a collection of over 200 online journals and an extensive library of online resources.
  • Emerald Management First: an award-winning online business management library designed to help managers tackle everyday business challenges and improve their skills. Features Guru Interviews, Executive Summaries, overviews of topical issues, and précis of research articles.
  • Emerald Education Plus and Emerald Sociology Plus: two new electronic collections of journals and book series specifically crafted for education and sociology researchers, academics, and policy makers. Education Plus combines 34 journals and 31 book series, while Sociology Plus is made up of 20 journals and 38 book series.
  • eBook Series Collection: two collections, one on Business Management & Economics and the other on Social Sciences. In total, nearly 800 volumes are available. At least 80 new volumes will be added to the collection annually.
  • Backfiles: an exclusive look into the evolution and history of management research. A fully-searchable, digital archive collection containing over 65,000 articles from more than 120 journals.

Emerald:

  • Complies with COUNTER 3/SUSHI for improved usage statistics.
  • Has collections that are compatible with reference management software, including EndNote, Reference Manager, and RefWorks.
  • Partners with the digital conservation initiatives LOCKSS and PORTICO to provide a permanent archive of electronic scholarly journals.
  • Has international advisers in both the academic and the information management sectors to keep Emerald in line with the latest developments in LIS and management research and education.

License Agreements (Terms & Conditions)

At the time your library subscribes an Emerald product, Emerald will send a customized license agreement to your library.

How to Order or Renew

Subscriptions run for 12 months and can be started any time during the year.

Please complete the online order/renewal form. New subscribers will need to sign a license agreement which Emerald will provide.

To pay by credit card, please complete the credit card authorization form and fax it to our secure fax line at 612-626-5380.

Technical Support

Statistics

Customers can download their COUNTER-compliant usage stats from the Emerald website. Monthly stats are available for the previous month in the following month after the 5th or 6th day of the month.

Customers will need their administrator username and password to access the site and may contact the support desk to request their username and password if they do not have one.
