17th Annual ILL Conference: May 5, 2008
More than 180 staff members from Minitex participating libraries attended the 17th Annual Minitex
Interlibrary Loan Conference, which was held May 5, 2008. "Forecasting the Future of Social Computing"
and "ILL and the Electronic Environment: We're Living in Interesting Times" were the primary presentations
during the day-long session with Elizabeth Lane Lawley, Rochester Institute of Technology, providing the
morning keynote address and Julia Blixrud, Association of Research Libraries (ARL), discussing interlibrary
loan in today's electronic environment in the afternoon.
Four breakout sessions were held. They focused on:
- Ex Libris Aleph Interlibrary Loan Information and Update Session
- ILLiad Users Discussion Session
- MnLINK Gateway Informational Session
- Practical Uses of Web 2.0 Applications
Bill DeJohn wrapped up the day's program with a Minitex update.
