Updating Your Local Holdings Records

All libraries that participate in the Minitex Union List of Serials (MULS) are expected to maintain their local holdings, either directly by working through the OCLC Connexion Browser or by making arrangements to have another library act as your agent. (An LHOP file is a great way to find out how current your Local Holdings are in OCLC.)

Updating LHRs Via OCLC

All libraries that have full-mode access to OCLC cataloging can use the Connexion Browser to access their Local Holdings Records (LHRs) online and to add, edit, or delete holdings information. Training is available through archived webinars on the Minitex website, and a variety of OCLC resources are available online. Libraries that want to update their holdings in OCLC can also use a batch update process, rather than manually updating LHRs.

Updating LHRs Via SERHOLD

Libraries in the National Network of Libraries of Medicine can work with their holdings in the DOCLINE/SERHOLD system, and update their holdings in OCLC through a batch update process.
