BioOne offers a uniquely valuable aggregation of full-text, high-impact bioscience
journals and other scholarly material. Focusing on the fields of organismal and
integrative biology, ecology and environmental science, BioOne offers comprehensive
and affordable access to peer-reviewed scholarly research.

in pursuit of its mission—the long-term sustainability of reasonably priced
publications published by non-profit organizations.
BioOne offers a complete and functional environment that allows for browsing
specific- or cross-journal searching, reference linking and new information alerting.
BioOne also provides:

participating titles are only available on BioOne.

End-user tools, such as advanced search and support for most citation format
managers.

Thesaurus searching, search alerts and multi-lingual interfaces via the
BioOne Abstracting and Indexing service provided at no cost to subscribers

BioOne offers two databases:
BioOne's first database, BioOne.1, was introduced in 2001 with 43 titles from
35 scholarly societies and other nonprofit publishers. The existing set today
includes 82 publications from 65 publishers.
BioOne's new database, BioOne.2, is scheduled to go live in January 2007. BioOne.2
has 29 confirmed titles from 18 publishers, with more anticipated for addition
prior to the launch date. BioOne will be offering significantly discounted pricing
on subscriptions to BioOne.2 for libraries ordering both collections.

Please review, sign and fax the BioOne Subscriber License along with the order
form to MINITEX.
How to Order or Renew
Subscriptions to BioOne have a standard subscription period of January 1–December
31. Mid-term subscriptions are permitted and will be prorated to expire on December
31 to allow for renewal on January 1.
Please complete the order/renewal form and BioOne Subscriber License (new subscribers
only) and fax both documents to MINITEX (612-625-3569).
To pay by credit card, please complete the credit card authorization form, order
form and license agreement (if required), and fax all documents to our secure fax
line at 612-626-5380.

Technical support is available Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Central Time).
Statistics
New subscribers are provided with a username and password to access BioOne's
COUNTER-compliant usage data. Data is posted on the 15th of the month for usage
occurring in the previous month.
