Science, Technology and Medicine (STM) Collection

The 401 Science, Technology and Medicine journals from Blackwell Publishing cover a broad range of core scientific disciplines and therapy areas. More than a fifth of all the ISI-cited articles in dermatology, crystallography, allergy, evolutionary biology, nursing, fisheries, andrology, ecology, dentistry, ornithology and gerontology appear in Blackwell Publishing journals.

Social Science and Humanities (HSS) Collection

The 358 Social Science and Humanities journals from Blackwell Publishing cover a broad range of core academic disciplines. Top quality articles from the world's most highly regarded academic authors are routinely published in the journals. Topics covered range from Aristotle to African Politics, from Law to Linguistics, and from International Finance to Family Therapy.

Full Collection

You may participate in one or both of the Collections. Both Collections when purchased together are called the Full Collection.

Some things to know about the Collections:

  • Access is provided through Blackwell Synergy, a linked and searchable online journals platform.
  • Existing subscriptions must be maintained if you elect to participate in the Collection(s).
  • When you place your order, you will receive a list of currently subscribed print titles from Blackwell Publishing for your review. This title list will then become part of your license agreement for the collection(s).
  • You may convert existing print titles to online only at 95% of the 2006 standard journal price.
  • Journals five years old and under are not included in the Collections and should be subscribed to separately.
  • Access includes recent back files (i.e., those published since January 1997).
  • Access includes current issues plus OnlineEarly, where articles are published online before print (available for 200 journals).
  • Access includes perpetual archival rights to paid-for content (where Blackwell retains the rights to deliver this).

Minitex Pricing

These Blackwell Publishing products are available to academic libraries.

Pricing is based on FTE and library type (four-year college/university or two-year community college/special library). Please contact Minitex for a price quote.

License Agreements (Terms & Conditions)

Please review the Library License Agreement and forward any questions or requests for modification to Blackwell Publishing. After you place your order, Blackwell Publishing will provide a list of the Blackwell Publishing print titles to which you now subscribe.

Once you have reviewed the list of print titles provided by Blackwell Publishing and approved the agreement, Blackwell Publishing will insert your title list and return a signed Library License Agreement to you for execution.

How to Order or Renew

The standard subscription period is from January 1 through December 31. Libraries wishing to subscribe after the start date of the subscription period may do so at a prorated subscription amount.

Please complete the order/renewal form and fax it to Minitex at 612-625-3569.

Please review the Library License Agreement and forward any questions or requests for modification to Blackwell Publishing. After you place your order, Blackwell Publishing will provide a list of the Blackwell Publishing print titles to which you now subscribe. Statistics

Blackwell Synergy provides comprehensive, daily updated, COUNTER-compliant usage statistics available in HTML, XML or tab-separated formats for downloading or delivery by email. These are available to institutional administrators when they login to My Synergy.
