MINITEX Shared Collection I
We arranged with OCLC for creation of an Electronic Collection Set of
bibliographic records for the copyrighted NetLibrary titles in the MINITEX Shared
Collection I.
There is a one-time fee of $100 per library to join this group subscription to the
OCLC records. Membership includes access to MARC records for all existing titles in
the MINITEX NetLibrary shared collection.
To join, please fill out the MARC Records order form and fax it to Mark Wilhelmi
at MINITEX (612-624-4508).
Once you have ordered the bibliographic records, the contact person for your library
will be sent an email confirmation along with instructions for accessing the MARC records
for download. The Electronic Collection Set is split into files that reside on
the OCLC Product Services Web site and are accessed using a special authorization and
password.

MARC Records for Public Domain Titles
For MARC records for the NetLibrary public domain titles, please email OCLC support at
support@oclc.org or call them at 800-848-5800 and
request the download instructions for the MARCs for the NetLibrary Publicly accessible
titles. They are actually available as WorldCat collection sets. Support can give you
the download location and the passwords to get them.
As an FYI, these are abbreviated MARC records. The bibliographic information in them is
very sparse. It is basically Title, Author and 856 Link to the resource.
