IP or Referring URL Access
Libraries registered for Collections I, II, III, IV, or V should see the Minitex logo
and your school/library name under "account affiliation" after logging in at the
NetLibrary Web site. This means that NetLibrary is recognizing you and you will be
able to access the Minitex eBook collection.
If you are an authenticated user experiencing technical issues or have functionality
questions, please use NetLibrary's online contact form to submit your issue. In the
message box, provide a detailed description of the problem you are experiencing.
By submitting your issue online, NetLibrary is able to collect technical information
about your NetLibrary account.
If your library has a way to authenticate your remote users, NetLibrary can be used
from a remote location. In addition, users may access their NetLibrary collection, as
long as they have created a user account in the library/on campus at an authenticated
terminal or through a proxy server and/or secure referring URL that NetLibrary recognizes.
Remote Access
If your library has a way to authenticate your remote users (for example, proxy server),
NetLibrary can be used from a remote location.
In addition, users may access their NetLibrary collections via username and password.
To create a username and password, users click on the "Create a Free Account" link
while at an authenticated library terminal or through a proxy server and/or secure
referring URL that NetLibrary recognizes.
NetLibrary will then associate your patrons with your collections, allowing them access
to your titles from any location.
Statewide Portal Access
Access to Collections I, II, III, IV and the public domain titles are available to
residents in the Minitex region via statewide portals in Minnesota, North Dakota and
South Dakota. Please send any questions regarding this type of access to the
statewide portal administrators.
