MINITEX Pricing
Please direct all pricing questions to MINITEX.
All libraries subscribing through MINITEX are eligible for a 5% discount off Project
MUSE list prices.
Members of participating consortia or library networks may choose from six Project
MUSE online journal packages offered for the 2008 calendar year subscription term:
Pricing levels for U.S. academic libraries are divided into five "tiers" based on type
of institution as defined by the Carnegie Classification and four "quartiles" based on
usage. Usage is defined by the number of full-text downloads per institution during a
calendar year, and quartiles are determined by comparing usage levels among institutions
in the same tier. The usage quartiles will be recalculated annually.
Project Muse will send all customers and/or consortia partners a letter annually
indicating the current usage to be used in determining renewal prices. All new
customers are considered to be in "Quartile 1" until an entire calendar year's worth
of usage statistics is available.
