Authorization and Password Access to FirstSearch

If you want to control access to FirstSearch databases, you can provide authorization and password access to it, but that means you will have to share your authorization number and password with your patrons.

To access ProQuest Newsstand Complete, point your users to http://search.proquest.com/. This link will take you to a screen where you can perform a search across all of the newspapers in the ProQuest Newsstand Complete collection.

You may also wish to link directly to particular newspapers within the collection. To do so, follow these steps for any newspaper you would like a direct link to:

  • Go to http://search.proquest.com/.
  • Click on the "Publication Search" tab.
  • Either browse for a title or perform a keyword search (for example, "Star Tribune").
