Search Help and Suggestions

Try the following tips to get more precise search results:

  • Search terms submitted without punctuation are handled as keyword searches; the search engine will find entries that contain any of the words in the query.
  • To search for a specific phrase, use double quotes around your search query; for example, "interlibrary loan" will find entries only where that exact phrase appears.
  • The search engine is NOT case-sensitive; <SIRSI> and <sirsi> will yield the same results.
  • If you'd like to suggest a term that is not currently included in the glossary, fill out the feedback form and let us know.
