University of Minnesota Requests

MLAC's loading dock MLAC is a statewide facility for long-term storage of important but lesser-used items. Books or journals in MLAC not available from a patrons' own library system can be requested. Patrons requesting items that are available from their library system will be referred to that copy.

  • University of Minnesota affiliated patrons with a valid Library User ID can request material from MLAC to be delivered to an University of Minnesota, Twin Cities branch library for circulation.
  • University of Minnesota, Duluth patrons can also request items to be delivered to University of Minnesota, Duluth Library.
  • Items designated as "Non-Circulating" are restricted to use in Andersen Library only and cannot be sent to another library.
  • Items designated "In Library Use Only" can be sent to another campus library but use is restricted to that library.
  • Please allow 2-5 workdays for retrieval and delivery of all items.
