eBooks in Libraries: Consortial Models

Currently Offered Sessions

No sessions currently scheduled.

Description

Academic, public and K-12 libraries provide access to electronic content on behalf of patrons. Unique licensing agreements and purchasing models reflect the particular needs of the library type, yet there are concerns that resonate with all and may be addressed in a consortial agreement. This session will provide an overview of the most common business models used by a consortium. Participants will develop a deep understanding of the eBook market, and the innovative approaches to address the challenges that impact academic, public and K-12 libraries in a consortium.

Presenter: Jo Budler, State Library of Kansas
