RightsStatements.org provides standardized statements for three categories: In Copyright, No Copyright, and Other. The “Other” category can be a gray area for institutions determining copyright status.

What do you check before applying “Copyright Undetermined”? What can you do to make a more definitive determination when the copyright status is unclear? When do you resort to “No Known Copyright” rather than a No Copyright statement?

Join the Pennsylvania Digital Rights Team, the Minnesota Digital Library, and some special guests for a 60-minute joint webinar on July 30 at 4:00 p.m. where we’ll investigate these and other questions together.

The event will take place via Zoom at this link. Please note that the event will be recorded, and the recording shared widely.
