On December 7, the Association of Minnesota Counties presented Washington County Library with a County Achievement Award for its pioneering curbside pickup program. According to the release, on March 19, Washington County became the first Minnesota library system to offer curbside pickup in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. To date, they have facilitated 25,000 curbside pickups, including 120,000 items. Washington County Library was only library organization recognized in this year's awards.

Minitex congratulates the library staff at Washington County Library who made this achievement possible, as well as the countless additional library staff members from across Minnesota who went on to offer curbside pickup to their patrons!
