At long last, the 3R Project (RDA Toolkit Restructure and Redesign Project) has come to an end, and the results will become official next week. As of December 15, 2020, what is currently the beta RDA Toolkit will become the official active RDA Toolkit, located at access.rdatoolkit.org. The previous version will still be accessible at the URL original.rdatoolkit.org and through several links on the new Toolkit site. The official switchover will happen on December 15th, around 8 pm CST (UTC -6).

Although the "new RDA" will be the "official RDA" as of December 15, library staff will not be forced to use the new version immediately. The RDA Steering Committee does not expect all institutions to use the revised RDA right away; rather, they recommend using the next year or so to determine a plan and timeline for implementation.
