Minitex staff will discuss the process of restarting the statewide delivery service and some of the challenges we’ve faced in the process. We will also share an update on the status of MNLINK and referrals, as well as an approximate timeline for filling requests from the University of Minnesota collections.

The rest of the meeting will be Q&A. Please be prepared to discuss with your colleagues and with Minitex staff what is working with delivery and resource sharing and what is not. To Minitex, it’s felt like we’ve started up a whole new service. So many things have changed! Some libraries have been in touch, but we'd like to have a better idea of what's happening out in the state.

We will also be discussing the quarantine period. Now that the courier service has been running for about a month with a three day quarantine period, we all have a better idea of the impact on staff and workflows. Is the quarantine period still working?  Is it not? Based on the latest REALM Project update, should we be extending this? Or would libraries prefer to move toward a self-quarantining process?

Questions and comments can be sent to me in advance.
