Minnesota Author Project calls for submissions from Minnesota's self-published authors
It's time to begin spreading the word about the Minnesota Author Project, now in its seventh year. Winners will be crowned in three categories: Adult Fiction, Young Adult Fiction, and Communities Create. Minnesota's self-published authors and community groups may submit entries May 1 through May 21, 2024.

The Minnesota Author Project is a library-supported contest for self-published authors and community groups. The contest is accepting submissions for this year's prizes through May 31. Winners receive a $2,000 cash prize and their books are featured in an online collection and promoted in Library Journal and at Minnesota Libraries.

Thomas Peacock won in the Adult Fiction category for his novel "The Wolf's Trail," and Bethany Atazadeh won the YA Fiction prize for "The Stolen Kingdom," a retelling of the legend of Aladdin and his lamp. Dr. Artika Tyner and the Planting People Growing Justice Leadership Institute won in the Communities Create category for "Justice Makes a Difference."
