ABOUT THE JOB

The Processing Archivist position is a 22 month (depending on funding availability), part-time, position for the University of Minnesota Archives and Special Collections, a Department of the University of Minnesota Libraries. This is a 70% appointment. The Processing Archivist is responsible for processing newly acquired Human Rights Archival Collections for the Department 50% of their time. 20% of time will be supervision and training of new student staff, and processing high priority collections based on Department priorities. In both roles, the archivist will work closely with the Head of Archival Processing and Collection Unit staff.  The archivist will lead processing and arrangement of collections, the development and completion of finding aids in compliance with best practices.  The position reports directly to the Head of Archival Processing.

SALARY & BENEFITS

This is a 22 month (depending on funding availability), part-time, position. The base pay is $22.41/hour.
