"Partners" includes Minitex. This offer runs through March 2015.

CRL is pleased to announce another year of a CRL+Partners+Friends offering engineered with GALE Cengage Learning. This year's offering is similar to past years in that it revolves around 1) new collections publishing in the Gale Digital Collections line, and 2) NCCO with a final opportunity as NCCO publishing is now officially completed.

  • Brazilian and Portuguese History & Culture: The Oliviera Lima Library
  • Smithsonian 1: World's Fairs and Expositions: Visions of Tomorrow
  • Smithsonian 2: Trade Literature: The Merchandising of Industry
  • British Newspapers IV, 1785-1920

Along with preferential pricing, this year's offering also includes two service elements which are entirely new to the program, new to Gale, and in ways new to the market. Further information and trial access is available through the following link: www.galesupport.com/crl

Curriculum Alignments - Gale is offering our new curriculum alignment service, where we map your Gale resources to course syllabi, area studies, or even grant proposals. With these, faculty can see exactly where the library fits into their lesson plans, and students will know exactly where to go and what resources they need to complete their assignments. The number of alignments offered based on degree of current offer participation.

Data Mining & Textual Analysis - Data mining and textual analysis have become very important areas of focus in scholarly research, and the Center for Research Libraries (CRL) has worked closely with Gale in driving these areas as part of a cutting-edge offering from Gale. Gale is presently contacting over 250 of our partner library and archives, confirming that we have their permission to offer the content of our digital collections in a format that supports data mining and textual analysis goals.

When this process completes over the next month or two, upon customer request, Gale will deliver collection content for purchased Gale Digital Collections that may be used for data mining and textual analysis. Costing is planned to be simply the cost of producing the data sets and shipping and handling.
