EBSCO is making a wording change to its EBSCOhost and EDS search screens.

EBSCOhost and EBSCO Discovery Service users will soon notice a change on their search screen. Where the search mode once read “Boolean/Phrase,” it will now read “Proximity.” This change is being made to eliminate end user confusion over the meaning of “Boolean/Phrase.”
This change will happen automatically mid-March 2024 and requires no action on your part. The exception will be for those customers who have already customized that field with a different label. Those customers will not experience the automatic update to “Proximity.”
