From Britannica

National Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15th and ends on October 15th. Britannica has a number of features to help you and your students celebrate the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.

World Atlas - Find map, satellite, and street views.  Try looking up the countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, all countries that declared independence on September 15, 1821.

Compare Countries - Compare side-by-side statistical information on two countries at once.  Also, find links to related articles and media using the Compare Countries feature.

Resource Packs - Build and share Resource Packs in “My Britannica.” These packs can be customized with articles, images, videos, and more to ignite student inquiry, jump start a lesson, or cultivate discussions about specific people and places recognized by this holiday.

[Resource Packs are a way to collect and organize Britannica School content around any topic of your choice! Try using them to support classroom discussions, or as starting points for inquiry or research projects.  If you're wondering where Collections went, they got a makeover - all the functions you already know plus a streamlined interface for adding content are in what are now called Resource Packs.]

Biography Browse -  Look up contributors based on Era, National Association, and Gender using our biography browse. That’s how we discovered the article on Rigoberta Menchu, a Guatemalan Human-Rights Activist.
