WorldCat Discovery Services is the replacement for FirstSearch and WorldCat Local.

  • Available to all current WorldCat Discovery (formerly FirstSearch), WorldCat Local and WorldShare Management Services subscribers as part of existing subscriptions.
  • To get started, register for your library's unique WorldCat Discovery URL (Don't worry, you can still use FirstSearch even after you get your new URL.)
  • Access to FirstSearch will end in late 2016. Per-search searching in FirstSearch ends on December 31, 2015.
