Body

We are excited to announce that ELM will have a new look coming soon in 2019. We will unveil an entirely new ELM portfolio - new logo, new color scheme, new website, new url, and new name! You may have already heard us using the new name, eLibrary Minnesota, at conferences. The new name replaces Electronic Library for Minnesota but allows us to keep the initials ELM. We will also retire the current colors of green and blue and replace them with gray and green.

The purpose of the redesign is to:

  • Have a user-friendly portal with less clicks to get to resources
  • Have a name that reflects modern-day language
  • Give the logo a fresh new look and feel

Along with a new name, there will be a new url for the ELM portal, elibrarymn.org. The current portal url, elm4you.org, will continue to work but will just redirect to the new one. We reviewed analytics of the current portal and found that there were too many clicks to get to needed resources. Our intent with redesigning the website was to make it clear what users could do at the portal and where to go to get to a resource reducing the number of clicks in the process. The new logo will help bring a fresh look to the portal and promotional material. Look for new promotional material to follow.

We hope you like the new ELM and find the portal easier to use.
