Last fall, Minitex began a pilot program aimed at increasing open licensing expertise in the region’s libraries. The pilot covered the registration costs for a small group of library staff to complete the Creative Commons Academic Librarian Certification, which is run by the experts at Creative Commons, and is a 10-week course requiring a commitment of 6-10 hours per week. The pilot program will continue this summer, with the course running June 10 through August 18 and is open to library staff from Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota.
