Jennie Shaw will be presenting a poster on a digital exhibit of the John Philip Borger Comic Book Collection at the Minnesota eLearning Summit on July 27. Jennie was the project manager for the inventory of 43,000 comic books in 2015 for the Children's Literature Research Collections at the University of Minnesota Libraries.
Jennie received her MLIS in 2014 and is currently working as a library assistant in the Resource Sharing area of Minitex. She has continued her work with the Borger Collection, creating a digital exhibit examining social representations of under-served populations in comic books. Jennie's poster presentation will describe that process and explain how teachers can use it in their classrooms.
