The Norwegian-American Historical Association - new contributor to Minnesota Digital Library

The Norwegian-American Historical Association joins the Minnesota Digital Library as our 195th partner organization! The Historical Association shares photographs of Norwegians in Minnesota as well as images and a sourvenir booklet of the Norse-American Centennial parade that was held in New York City in 1925.

New contribution to Minnesota Reflections: Weavers Guild of Minnesota

The Minnesota Digital Library is pleased to announce an addition to the Weavers Guild of Minnesota collection. This addition includes new issues of The Threadbenders, a newsletter which was produced in the 1970s. Issues of The Minnesota Weaver are also included. Each issue provides information on classes, board meeting, and special events. 

Implementing Rights Statements at the Northtown Public Library

Despite the chilly day, there was a nice-sized group of people in attendance at the rights statements implementation training event on Friday, December 6th at the Northtown Public Library in Blaine. Participants at the event learned about the rights statements, why they are important, and how they help users by providing helpful descriptive information about the rights status of their digital items.

Getting Started with Rights Statements at Northtown Library

On Friday, December 6th Anoka County Library - Northtown will be the site of another of our training events for those who want to learn more about standardized rights statements and their implementation.

Registration is open for 2019 summer Rights Statements implementation training

We are hosting two training events this summer for those who want to learn more about standardized rights statements and their implementation. The first, on Monday, July 22nd will be held at the Washburn Public Library in Minneapolis, and the second, on Thursday, August 15th, is at the Kathryn A. Martin Library at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Both are open to the public and are free of charge. 

New contribution to Minnesota Reflections: Northwestern Health Sciences University

The Minnesota Digital Library is happy to announce the addition of new content to the Northwestern Health Sciences University's collection. Their new contribution of historic photographs more than doubles the size of their collection. 

New contribution to Minnesota Reflections: Minnesota Streetcar Museum

The new contribution to the Minnesota Streetcar Museum collection includes over 800 photographs and postcards that document streetcar routes through the metro areas, the express boats on Lake Minnetonka, and streetcar employees hard at work in the many streetcar garages and carhouses throughout the cities.
